PhotoCure registered, EU (diagnosis)

PhotoCure announced on 2 March 2005 that its photosensitizer hexaminolevulinate hydrochloride (HEXVIX) has been granted approval in the EU for use in the diagnosis of bladder cancer. Approval in Sweden, the Reference Member State in the EU’s Mutual Recognition Procedure, was granted in September 2004. PhotoCure is preparing to launch the product in Nordic countries and plans to establish partnerships to market and sell the product in other EU territories.
